Imo State Governor, Hands Over 32 Operational vehicles and 11 Armoured Personnel Carrier To State Command…

Governor Uzodimma has graciously handed over 32 refurbished vehicles and some 11 Armoured personal carrier to the state command of the Nigerian Police in Owerri, the IMO state capital.

The governor in his remark highlighted that this initiative aims to address the issue of abandoned police vehicles scattered across the state, ensuring they are refurbished and put back into use. The refurbishment project reportedly cost over five hundred million Naira.

During the event, the Governor reiterated his commitment to minimizing crime and criminality in Imo State. He urged the Imo State Police Command to maintain the vehicles properly to sustain their operational efficiency.

Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, Aboki Danjuma, received the vehicles with gratitude, acknowledging the Governor’s generosity in rehabilitating the previously defunct vehicles. He assured that Divisional Police Officers would oversee the management and use of the vehicles to enhance security and reduce crime rates in the state.
