A parrot that perched on a branch of a tree, woke up intoxicated and attempted to claim ownership of a tree it perched on, within the domestic environment created by the owner.
Being a domesticated bird, the parrot forgot that the owner of the orchard owned both the plants and the birds therein. The Parrot thought that by making lousy and unpleasant noise, he would dispossess the lawful owners from their orchards.
People like Chief Michael Ezeanyanwu do not understand the rudiments of intra-party politics and that’s why they are bound to commit political suicide in their ill-calculated political adventures.
The alleged Chief, unfortunately, couldn’t remember that being the acting publicity secretary of the party was not an avenue for him to have access to the party coffers.
Chief. Michael Ezeanyanwu served as acting Pub-Secretary at the pleasure of the chairman, who brought him on board to fill the vacant position and he has no right whatsoever to attend SWC or claim to be a member of SWC or even summon SWC.
For a person to be a member of SWC in APC, he/she must be duly elected and ratified at the convention.I am sure he knows that we are yet to have a congress or convention for that purpose.
Legally speaking there are procedures and conditions precedents that the party leadership must fulfill before they can summon the meeting of the State working committee in APC. Such a meeting can’t be summoned by an assistant, who works at the pleasure of the chairman. He doesn’t have the locus to initiate or attend such a meeting.
It’s trite that an SWC meeting can only be held at the instance of the Chairman, on whose instructions /authority the secretary will issue a notice to the qualified members, and in the absence of the Chairman, the Deputy Chairman will summon for the meeting.
Here comes a man, who has no input on the party or the party’s struggles and he has the temerity to call a press conference and dish out rubbish for public consumption.
I was a member of the APC Constitution amendment committee and I have litigated a plethora of cases on the same constitution, and I can boldly say that the alleged actions of those shenanigans are disgraceful and have no legal effect.
How can they claim to have passed a vote of NO confidence on the office of the state chairman, Deputy Chairman, Treasurer, and organizing secretary without recourse to the party constitution.
These acts are just ploy to distract, loyal party members on the forthcoming Local government election.
I am sure the party can not be distracted by the light-father actions.
The Chairman, his Deputy, treasurer, and organizing secretary, remain the DEFACTO and DEJURY leaders of the party.
