Senate Plenary Update: Tuesday, 21 November 2023.
The Senate President of Nigeria Sen. Godswill Akpabio has officially notified the @NGRSenate of the emergence of Sen. Abba Moro (PDP: Benue) as the new Minority Leader of the Senate, and Sen. Osita Ngwu (PDP: Enugu) as the new Minority Whip of the Senate.
The new appointments arise from the removal of Sen. Simon Mwadkwon (PDP:Plateau) and Sen. Darlington Nwokocha (LP: Abia) by the @NGCourtofAppeal
Sen. Mwadkwon and Sen. Nwokocha had served as the Minority Leader and Minority Whip respectively before the decision of the Court.
