Dr. Nwobodo holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electronics and Computer Engineering with a focus on Control Engineering from Nnamdi Azikiwe University (NAU), Awka. She also earned a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Electrical/Electronics and Computer Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Computer Engineering, underscoring her deep technical expertise and commitment to continuous learning. Her academic journey is further enriched by an Executive Master of Busineess Administration (MBA) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education, reflecting her dynamic approach to leadership and pedagogy.
Dr. Nwobodo is the Head of the Department of Computer Engineering at Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), where she provides visionary leadership, ensuring the highest standards of academic and administrative excellence. As a Senior Lecturer, she inspires the next generation of engineers, supervising advanced research projects in areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning and cybersecurity.
During her tenure as Director of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) at ESUT, Dr. Nwobodo transformed the University’s digital landscape. She spearheaded the digitization of key operations, launched the first-ever online matriculation in Nigeria, and developed cost-effective IT solutions that have become foundational to the University’s academic and administrative processes. Her efforts in training faculty and staff on e-learning platforms during the COVID-19 pandemic were instrumental in maintaining educational continuity.

Dr Lois is married to the late Dr. Ifeanyi Nwobodo, with whom she is blessed with four children.
She was recently appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to serve as the Managing director of the Scientific Equipment Development institute (SEDI) Enugu State making her the first female executive from Enugu State to head the institute.
