Today being the 15th day of October 2024, the management and staff of National Orientation Agency, Enugu led by the State Director, Mrs. Clara Nwachukwu embarked on a courtesy/sensitization visit to the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus (UNEC).
The visit was aimed at establishing the needed synergy between the two institutions with respect to the value-reorientation project in Nigeria.
The NOA team took time to interact with the Deputy Vice Chancellor, the Dean of Students Affairs of UNEC and representatives of the student bodies in the school on the need to re-orientate and redirect our youths on our shared national values, for effective nation building. This underscores the ongoing sensitization campaign on the re-adopted National Anthem and National Values Charter across the country.
Furthermore, Dr. Eucharia Onyia, Deputy Director and HOD, Programme, NOA, Enugu State equally elaborated on the national values charter and how it was deliberately institutionalised into our various curriculum and policies in order to curb the outrageous value decadence in our society and promote our national identity and core values.
In their reaction, the management of UNEC applauded the NOA team for the timeliness of the campaign and promised to collaborate with the Agency in a bid to rescue Nigeria from its current national identity challenge.
Hand flyers and other learning materials were presented to the institution to facilitate the sensitization campaign.
In her closing remark,
the State Director of NOA team appreciated the staff and management of the University of Nigeria Enugu Campus for their warm reception and their pledge to support NOA in promoting the re-adopted National Anthem and National Values Charter.
