On October 29th 2024 the Enugu state Directorate of the National Orientation Agency paid a courtesy visit to the management and students of Godfrey Okoye University in Enugu state.
The visit was in fulfillment of her core mandate on sensitizing the general public on the government policies and programs specifically on the re-adopted National Anthem and the National Value Charter.
The advocacy visit is also part of the nationwide campaign recently launched by the Director General of the Agency Mallam Lanre Issa-onilu which is aimed at reawakening the Nigerian spirit and reinvigorating our dilapidated value system which has negatively affected our national progress.
The State Director Mrs Nwachukwu Clara admonished the students to be good ambassadors of Nigeria by advancing the campaign to the highest level via their social media handles.She urged them to analyse the wordings in the re-adopted Anthem and pledge so they can have a feel of it’s content which promotes patriotism.
The Head of Programs and Deputy Director NOA Enugu Dr. Onyia Eucharia in her remarks encouraged the students to imbibe good values so they can make Nigeria Great again as “leaders of tomorrow “.
She informed them of the national value charter tagged “7 for 7″and how it has shared responsibilities to both the leaders and the lead.
She encouraged Nigerians to play their part as government has assured to implement her part of the social contract.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration Prof. Gozie Ogbodo, in his vote of thanks appreciated the national orientation Agency (NOA)for finding the institution worthy to participate in the exercise and assured her of their willingness to key into the Nigerian project to attain the quality of a Nigeria we all dream to have.
