Court Sends Hon.John Amaechi Ede(Okaoburuzo)&others To Prison.

Magistrate Court sitting in Enugu state has remanded Hon John Amaechi Ede and others to prison for allegedly inciting communal unrest in Enu-agu Autonomous community Akpugo, in Nkanu West LGA, Enugu state.

Our source who wished to remain anonymous for security reasons, informed our correspondents on the threatening development.

They alleged that some self acclaimed stakeholders of three communities namely; “Ogonogo Eji Ndiagu Akpugo, Ugwuafor and Enu -agu Autonomous communities in Akpugo ,Nkanu west LGA have continued to torment the community for basically selfish reasons.

The suspects were said to have been remanded by the magistrate after their arraignment on 12th December 2024,on allegations of incitement of communal violence in Enu-agu Autonomous community Akpugo.

Recall ,there have been calls from numerous quarters for the arrest of Hon. John Amaechi Ede and his co-travellers on the basis of their alleged role in disrupting the peace of Enu-agu Autonomous community in Akpugo.

The matter was adjourned to Thursday 19th December 2024.
