The state government has set aside the sum of 55bn for the construction, and reconstruction of urban and rural roads for the 2025 fiscal year.
Commissioner for Budget and plan for Bar Chris- Robert ozougwu disclosed this during the breakdown of the 2025 budget estimate at the press centre Enugu.
He said the dualization of the Nike- Ugwuogo opi-Nuskka Road will kake the sum of 10 billion, while the sum of one billion will go for the Completion of Ugwuogo Nike-Agu Ukehe- Umuoko roads as well as the 15km phase in Igbo Ekiti/ Enugu local government Areas.
on sports, he said 10billion will be used for renovation of renovation of Nnamdi Azikwe stadium while 3billion is for revamping of Awgu games village in Awgu local government Area.
Ozougwu said the sum of 146 billion has been mapped out for equipping of smart schools across the 269 political wards in the state while 100 billion is for construction of 200 integrated model smart schools comprising of 3 classrooms block for Nursery, 6 classroom blocks for primary and 6 classroom blocks for junior secondary in 250 wards in the 17 local government Areas.
On health, the Commissioner said government has mapped out 500 million fir the establishment of Enugu blood service commission and 20 billion for construction of Enugu International Hospital rangers Ave Enugu.
On Agriculture, he said 20billion is set apart for purchase of 100 Tractors to assit mechanised farming in the state.
