Nnaji Hails Dr. Mustapha For Championing Energy Transition…

The Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, has applauded the Director General of Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN), Abdullahi Mustapha for his outstanding contributions to Nigeria’s energy sector, particularly in championing energy transition.

He highlighted several key achievements, including the establishment of a solar PV module assembling plant in Enugu State, which is expected to create numerous job opportunities and contribute significantly to the economic development of the South-east region.

The minister’s commendation was contained in a goodwill message to the energy commission boss on his 40th birthday celebration.

He also commended Mustapha’s role in setting up the Barefoot Renewable Energy College in Kogi State with the aim of addressing the manpower gap in the renewable energy industry and harnessing Nigeria’s abundant energy resources.

Furthermore, Nnaji praised Mustapha’s active participation in the G20 Brazil summit, where he made a remarkable presentation and submission on energy transition and sustainable development.

Mustapha’s leadership has been instrumental in shaping Nigeria’s energy future. His efforts have earned him recognition, including the Pioneer Award for Leadership in Sustainable Energy and Green Development.

Nnaji also expressed satisfaction with Mustapha’s hard work and dedication, saying, “A talent like yours is not easy to find! Thanks for being such a valuable member of our team and for all the hard work you have done.“We wish you a truly fulfilling year ahead. You have all it takes to achieve any ambitious goal in life.”
