The new general officer commanding 82 division of the Nigeria Army Major general oluyemi Thomas Olatoye paid a coutesy visit today to the governor of Enugu State and assured the people of the state of adequate security within the state.
The new GOC who is also the the force commander joint task force South East operation Udoka, gave the assurance during the visit.
The GOC who was accompanied by very senior officers said the visit is also aimed at seeking partnership with the state to addresss some issues of insecurity.
He commended the state government’s effort in its role in providing Security of lives and properties.
He said no meangful development can strive where there is no security.
He urged the people of the state to go about their normal business and assured them of maximum security.
The Governor while welcoming the new GOC commended the Army for it’s support to the state as it concerns security.
He assured the Army of Government’s continued support by providing necessary logistics to curb criminality in the state.
