Nigeria has taken a decisive step towards a sustainable energy future with the official unveiling of the NEV T6 Electric Bus and Charging Infrastructure, marking a major milestone in the country’s transition to clean, technology-driven transportation.

Speaking at the unveiling, Chief Uche Nnaji, Nigeria’s Honourable Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, hailed the initiative as a game-changer for Nigeria’s transportation sector, aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The Minister emphasized that the electric bus and its supporting infrastructure directly support key pillars of the Renewed Hope 8-Point Agenda, particularly in economic growth, job creation, energy transformation, and industrialization.
“The NEV T6 Electric Bus is not just a vehicle; it represents a bold step towards a cleaner, smarter, and more energy-efficient Nigeria. This initiative underscores the role of technology-driven solutions in shaping our nation’s future,” Chief Nnaji stated.The launch signals Nigeria’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint, improving urban mobility, and embracing next-generation energy solutions.
The integration of cutting-edge charging infrastructure further cements the country’s ambition to decarbonize its transportation sector and build a resilient energy ecosystem.
NEV Motors, the company behind the innovation, was praised for its leadership in sustainable mobility, with the Minister reaffirming the government’s unwavering support for pioneering clean energy solutions.
