The 30th March 2024 stakeholders meeting has once again proven the capacity of the leadership of the Enugu State APC, it’s no longer news that APC Enugu State from inception in 2014 had a history of weak leaderships symbolized by political merchandizing that resulted in loss of public confidence by members and electorates until the divine emergence of the new leadership. First was the disruptive election of the great lion Barr Ugochukwu Agballah who’s coming sent signals of a new party with new narratives owing to his sagacious political antecedents. With the later nomination of HEs HM Chief Uche Nnaji and Barr George Ogara as governorship candidate and deputy respectively, the party was set for a new glorious dawn.
First the merchants were shown the exit and confined in history while the moles they planted to remain and sabotage every efforts of the leadership are being identified and dealt with accordingly.
The resounding success of the latest stakeholders meeting which witnessed humongous crowed of both old members and high profile new entrants including former senator and minister from the state ruling party PDP is a testament to the capacity chairman’s proven integrity, character and tenacity in building a masses oriented APC in the State.
God has really used these men and women of substance with proven track records to wipe the tears of genuine party members that have always been shortchanged by the unwholesome activities of the then leaders and takeholders who evidently were never interested in the growth of the party and the members but only their personal gains like the current FCC commissioner representing Enugu State.
The love and resolved commitment of genuine party members and new entrants in APC Enugu State seems to have doubled by the outstanding character that is the HM chief Uche Nnaji Nwakaibie and the decision of the Ugo Agballah led State executives committee to expose and take decisive deterring actions against high profile moles within the party.
The enthusiasm at the state party secretariat during the stakeholders meeting of 30th March to welcome new members was electrifying, unprecedented and signifies unity of purpose and drive for future electoral success in the State.
The speeches of of leathers like deputy zonal chairman South, chief Emma Enukwu, the southeast zonal chairman chief Arodogbu and the new entrants like Sen. Chuka Utazi, Amb. Fidelia Akuabata Njeze in addition to those of the HM, Uche Nnaji and Capacity chairman Barr Agballah point to one direction which is giving the party to the people who are committed to build it and allowing them to enjoy the proceeds thereof.
Chief Uche Nnaji Nwakaibie didn’t mince words, he reiterated his commitment and resolve to be accountable and urged other stakeholders and appointive position holders to do same as that’s the only way to achieve victory in next elections.
The new entrants and appointive position holders in the same accord pledged loyalty, accountability and commitment and we pray that this spirit continue to move across board till we get to the lion building come 2027.
