The Ministry of Innovation, Science, and Technology, led by Chief Uche Nnaji Nwakabie, is partnering with the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) to promote clean cooking technology across Nigeria’s 774 local government areas.
This initiative aims to reduce the country’s reliance on charcoal, which contributes to deforestation, soil erosion, and other environmental issues.Chief Nnaji’s efforts align with his ministry’s focus on leveraging science, technology, and innovation to drive sustainable development and improve the lives of Nigerians,collaborating with ALGON, the ministry can tap into local expertise and resources, ensuring a more effective and targeted approach to addressing the country’s environmental challenges.
The partnership’s emphasis on clean cooking technology has the potential to transform the way Nigerians cook and access energy.
