The 2025 Batch A Stream II members of the National Youth Service (NYSC) deployed to Enugu State have been charged to be responsible and patriotic throughout their service year.
The State Director National Orientation Agency, Mrs. Clara Chinyere Nwachukwu gave this charge on Friday June 13, 2025 while addressing the Corps members at the Orientation Camp Awgu, in Awgu Local Government Area of the state.
She enjoined the Corps members to be disciplined in all their endeavour and to respect the culture, traditions, customs and values of the people in their host communities.
Mrs. Nwachukwu urged the Corps members to add value to their host communities by initiating and executing viable Community Development Service (CDS) projects that would positively impact people’s lives.
The state Director NOA Enugu also advised the Corps members to be law abiding citizens and always go by the rules and regulation of NYSC, ad wishes them happy stay in their service.
In another development the Commissioner for Youth and Sport/Chairman NYSC Governing board Enugu State Hon. Barr. Lioyd Ike Ekweremadu congratulated the Corps members on their remarkable achievement and their hard work and dedication. He made to realize that the Governing Board has played a pivotal role in contributing to shaping the Orientation exercise, with a focus on equipping Corps members with the necessary skills, knowledge, and values to excel during their service year.
Hon. Ekweremadu urged them to take the NYSC programme seriously. He notified them that the Enugu State Government in collaboration with NYSC management has made necessary arrangement to ensure they have productive service year.
The Hon.Commissioner advised the Corps members to be dedicated, discipline and committed to the programme that “your collective efforts will not only shape your future but also contribute to the development of our dear state and nation” he added.
The NYSC Enugu State Coordinator Mrs. Awolola Oluwakemi, commended Mrs. Nwachukwu the NOA Enugu State Director and Hon.Barr. Lioyd Ike Ekweremadu, Commissioner for Youths and Sports/Chairman NYSC Governing board Enugu State for their advises to Corps members and assured of delivering his works well for Corps members in the state to live happily and discharge their duties well.
