Within the space of two years in office, we have worked to position the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN) as a key driver of Nigeria’s renewable energy transformation. From the commissioning of the Free Hybrid Electric Vehicle Charging Station to the 7MW Solar Power Project at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, our efforts have focused on advancing clean energy, modernization, and technological innovation across the nation.
We have also unveiled the twin documents of the National Energy Policy (NEP) and the National Energy Master Plan (NEMP), established the Barefoot Renewable Energy College (BRE College) in Osara, Kogi State, and deepened international engagement through Nigeria’s active participation at COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, and the Brazil Energy Summit 2025. Through strategic partnerships, including landmark MoUs with China Energy and ECOWAS, nationwide solar empowerment programs, and many others. We shall continue to champion innovation, sustainability, and collaboration.
These achievements are in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, particularly his administration’s commitment to expanding clean energy access and driving Nigeria’s transition toward a sustainable and resilient energy future.
