The attention of the Great Achievers Youth Movement for APC has been drawn to a sponsored, false, and malicious article circulating online, aimed at tarnishing the image of the Honourable Minister of Innovation, Science & Technology, Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji.
We state without any reservation that this article is a pack of lies, politically motivated, and designed to mislead the public.
Our position is clear:
1. The Allegation of Certificate Forgery is Pure Falsehood – Hon. Uche Nnaji’s academic and service records are authentic, verifiable, and were duly cleared by all relevant authorities before his appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Any insinuation of forgery is a desperate attempt by political detractors to rewrite history with lies.
2. No Interference in UNN VC Appointment – The selection of the new Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) was carried out in line with due process by the Governing Council. The Minister had no hand in the matter. The claim that he lobbied for any candidate is pure political fiction.
3. Performance in Office Speaks for Itself – Since assuming office, Hon. Uche Nnaji has been actively driving policies to boost indigenous technology, strengthen innovation, and attract investment. The baseless claim that his ministry is “dormant” is an insult to the facts on the ground and a disservice to Nigeria’s progress.
4. We Know the Motive – This smear campaign is the handiwork of those who failed to match the Minister’s political credibility and who continue to feel threatened by his rising influence in Enugu State and beyond. Their desperation has led them to fabricate lies to mislead unsuspecting members of the public.
The Great Achievers Youth Movement for APC stands firmly with Hon. Uche Geoffrey Nnaji. We warn those spreading this fake news that they will be held accountable for defamation.
We call on all APC faithful, especially in Enugu State, to ignore this political blackmail and remain focused on supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Chief Uche Nnaji remains a committed patriot whose integrity and capacity are not in doubt. No amount of sponsored falsehood will stop him from serving Nigeria diligently.
